UK Accounting Firms
Outsourced accounting for UK accounting firms.
White-label bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and accounts preparation for UK accountancy practices. Statutory accounts to FRS 102 and FRS 105, MTD-compliant filing, and reliable capacity under your brand, with ACCA-qualified oversight.
Why UK Firms Come to Us
The pressure is real. The options haven't been good enough.
UK accountancy practices are increasingly turning to outsourced back-office support to manage capacity, control costs, and protect margins, without compromising on quality.
Capacity Without the Headcount
UK practices cannot hire qualified staff fast enough, and permanent hires are slow and expensive to make. What most firms actually need is reliable capacity that flexes with the compliance calendar, available when the deadlines land, without the overhead of another salary on the books.
Most Offshore Providers Weren’t Built for UK Firms
Generic providers cut cost by cutting oversight, and UK firms have been burned by exactly that: reconciliations that do not tie, workpapers that need redoing, and a team that goes quiet at quarter-end. We operate a two-tier review on every deliverable, preparer review then independent team lead sign-off, before anything reaches you.
In-House Hiring Is Not Always the Answer
Recruitment, onboarding, and staff overhead are slow and costly, and the UK talent market makes it harder every year. A structured back-office team with a 90% year-on-year client retention rate is a different proposition entirely.
We understand your hesitation.
Most UK firms that have tried offshore support have a story about it going wrong. Reconciliations that do not tie. Workpapers that need to be redone. A team that goes quiet when things get complicated. The concern is not irrational. It is based on real experience with providers built to be cheap rather than to be right.
Our answer is structural, not a promise. Every deliverable goes through a two-tier review, and you have a named point of contact who knows your files, not a rotating support queue. We suggest starting small, with low-risk work, so you can judge us on delivery before you hand over anything complex.
Who You Are Dealing With
We are not a platform. We are not a staffing agency. We are a professionally led firm, headed by an ACCA-qualified accountant with Big Four audit experience.
How Trust Is Built
Trust is built through delivery, not promises. Start with something small and judge us on that.

Who It Is For
Where UK firms bring us in.
You have more work than people
The client base grew faster than the team, and the compliance calendar does not wait. We are the overflow capacity that absorbs the peak without a permanent hire.
You want to add services without adding staff
Payroll, VAT, or management accounts you would like to offer but cannot resource. We run them under your brand, so you widen the service without widening the payroll.
You are cleaning up before year-end
Backlogged bookkeeping and unreconciled accounts ahead of the statutory accounts and the CT600. We catch it up and get the file ready to finalise.
You tried offshore and it did not work
A previous provider that went quiet or handed back work that had to be redone. The two-tier review and the named point of contact are the specific fix for that.
The Working Model
Here is exactly how we work with your firm.
No black boxes. No vague handoffs. Here is what working with SRR actually looks like from day one.
-
NDA and Scope Agreement
Before anything is shared, we sign a mutual NDA. We agree scope, service levels, formats, and file-sharing protocols in writing. Nothing proceeds without that foundation in place.
-
Onboarding Call
We hold a structured onboarding call with your team to understand your file formats, software preferences, review standards, and communication expectations. We confirm everything in writing.
-
File Transfer and Task Assignment
Client files are shared through your preferred secure channel: OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, or Dropbox. A named team lead at SRR is assigned to your account from day one.
-
Delivery to Your Standards
Work is completed to agreed timelines and returned in your preferred format. All deliverables pass through a two-tier review. Preparer check first, then independent team lead sign-off. You receive clean work, ready for your own review.
-
Ongoing Communication and Review
Regular check-ins keep us aligned on volumes, deadlines, and any changes to scope. Issues are raised early, not hidden. You have a direct point of contact, not a helpdesk ticket.
The Team
Qualified people. Doing the actual work.
Our delivery team holds qualifications across ACCA and ICAP, led by an ACCA-qualified accountant. Every engagement is overseen by a team lead with direct accountability for quality. You are not handed to a junior with no oversight.

Delivery Standards
Specific commitments. Not general promises.
Named Point of Contact
Your engagement has a named team lead from day one. That person knows your files, your formats, and your standards. You are not passed between staff or handled by a queue.
Qualified Oversight
Work is prepared by a qualified team and reviewed by a team lead with over 8 years of experience. Every deliverable passes through two review stages before it reaches you. Leadership is involved, not absent.
Agreed Turnaround Times
Standard month-end close is completed within 3 to 5 working days. Timelines are agreed at scope stage and tracked actively. If a deadline is at risk, you are told early, not after it has passed.
Clear Escalation Path
If something is not right, you know exactly who to contact and what to expect. Issues are not buried. We would rather surface a problem early and solve it than let it affect your client work.
Two-Tier Quality Review
Every deliverable goes through a preparer self-review followed by an independent team lead review before it leaves our desk. Nothing reaches you as a first draft.
Onboarding Timeline
Standard onboarding is completed within 5 to 10 working days. Straightforward engagements are live in 3 to 5 days. We move quickly without skipping the setup steps that matter.
Software Compatibility
We work across Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Zoho Books, and Odoo. If your clients use it, we are likely already familiar with it.
Error Rate
Our reviewed submission error rate sits below 2%. That figure is tracked internally and reflects the standard we hold ourselves to on every engagement.
Data & Confidentiality
Your clients' data stays exactly where it should.
When you work with SRR, you are trusting us with your clients' financial information. We take that responsibility seriously, not as a compliance box to tick, but as the foundation of any working relationship with an accounting firm.
NDA as Standard
A mutual NDA is signed before any client data is shared. Every team member signs an NDA before handling client data. This is not optional, it is how every engagement begins.
Controlled Access
Role-based permissions. Staff access only the client files assigned to them. No shared logins and no personal devices. UK client data is handled with data protection obligations in mind.
Secure File Transfer
All files move through encrypted, access-controlled platforms: OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, or Dropbox. A VPN is mandatory for all remote work.
No Third-Party Sharing
Your client data is never shared with third parties without prior written consent. Files are accessed only by the team members directly working on your account.
ISO 27001 alignment in progress, with formal certification planned for 2026. Read more about outsourced accounting data security and how we run engagements.

Why SRR for UK Firms
Built for UK practice. Not adapted from something else.
UK GAAP Is Home Ground
We prepare statutory accounts to FRS 102 and FRS 105, handle Companies House filing and iXBRL tagging, and file VAT under MTD. This is the standard we work to daily, not an occasional engagement.
ACCA-Qualified Leadership
SRR is led by an ACCA-qualified accountant with Big Four audit experience. ACCA is a UK professional accountancy qualification, so the standards your practice works to are the standards we are trained in.
FinSoul Network Member
SRR operates as a member firm of the FinSoul Network: 50+ qualified professionals serving 200+ clients across seven markets in the GCC, Asia, and the UK, with a 90% year-on-year client retention rate. That track record backs every engagement.
White-Label by Design
We work to your formats, your file structure, and your standards. Accounts prepared under FRS 102 and FRS 105, filed under your firm’s name. Our name does not appear on your deliverables.
Common Questions
What UK firms usually ask before starting.
Do you file under Making Tax Digital?
Yes. We prepare and file VAT returns under Making Tax Digital using MTD-compatible software, including Xero and QuickBooks Online. The filing goes out under your firm’s process, with our name nowhere on it.
Can you prepare statutory accounts to FRS 102 and FRS 105?
Yes. We prepare statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105, including the Companies House accounts and the iXBRL tagging, ready for your review and submission.
Do you handle CT600 corporation tax preparation?
Yes. We prepare the corporation tax computations and the CT600 return, with iXBRL tagging, to your templates and through our two-tier review, ready for your firm to review and file.
Will you meet Companies House and HMRC deadlines?
Deadlines are agreed at scope stage and tracked actively. Standard month-end close is completed within 3 to 5 working days, and filing work is scheduled around your Companies House and HMRC deadlines. If a deadline is ever at risk, you are told early, not after it has passed.
Will your name appear on our deliverables?
No. We work to your formats, your file structure, and your standards, with accounts prepared under FRS 102 and FRS 105. The work is delivered under your brand. Our name does not appear on it.
Which types of client can you prepare accounts for?
Sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, and limited companies. We prepare each to the appropriate standard: unincorporated accounts for sole traders and partnerships, and statutory accounts under FRS 102 or FRS 105 for limited companies, in the format your practice uses.
When are UK accounts and corporation tax actually due?
Statutory accounts are due at Companies House nine months after the company’s financial year end. Corporation tax is payable nine months and one day after the end of the accounting period, and the CT600 return is filed within twelve months of the period end. We schedule the work around these dates so nothing runs late.
What is iXBRL tagging, and do you handle it?
iXBRL is the machine-readable format in which company accounts and tax computations are submitted to HMRC. Each figure has to be tagged to the correct financial concept. We handle the tagging as part of preparing the Companies House accounts and the CT600, so the submission is filing-ready.
Do you handle VAT registration and the current threshold?
Yes. The VAT registration threshold is £90,000 of taxable turnover, in effect from April 2024. We assess whether a client needs to register, handle the registration, and prepare and file the returns under Making Tax Digital.
Can you prepare self assessment tax returns for our clients?
Yes. We prepare self assessment returns and the supporting schedules, ready for your review and submission ahead of the 31 January online deadline. As with everything else, the work is delivered under your firm’s name.
Can you scale up for year-end and busy periods?
Yes. Absorbing the year-end and January peaks without permanent hires is one of the most common reasons firms work with us. We agree expected volumes at scope stage and scale the team to the workload, then back down afterward.
How is our client data protected?
A mutual NDA is signed before any client data is shared, and every team member signs an NDA before handling data. Files move only through your preferred secure platform, access is role-based, and your client data is never shared with third parties.
